Our home, in the retirement community of Blacklake, is located in Nipomo, California.  While not as yet incorporated as a town, Nipomo does have a Post Office address.  The community of Blacklake is built around a 27-hole golf course that is open to the public.  That is one of the reasons we decided to settle down here.

Nipomo lies in the region known as the "Central Coast" of California.  The Central Coast is between Los Angeles and San Francisco.  Our house is 3 miles ("as the crow flies") from the Pacific Ocean.  The moderating breezes from the ocean afford this region moderate temperatures throughout the year.  It seldom gets either very hot. or very cold.

The view from the rear of the house overlooks both the #1 and the #9 fairways of th "Oaks" course.  While many golf balls have landed on our property, so far there has been no damage to the house.  The spacious patio and the view make this property ideal for entertaining.
