She was christened
“Faustina Maria Carmella DiGiglio”, but the sisters at the catholic
school she attended did not consider “Faustina” a saint’s name, so they
renamed her “Augustine”. To her friends and family she was
“Augie”. But to John DeYulia and his siblings, she was just plain
“mother”.
Augie was a character; a true extrovert, she loved life and having fun,
and enjoyed being the center of attention, as the photos on this web
page will bear out.
